Ronald Araujo didn't play against Granada as he is suffering from muscle fatigue, reports Mundo Deportivo's Javier Gascon.
The Uruguayan had accumulated too much game time over the past two months. Moreover, he himself revealed he was playing through a minor injury all that time. The coaching staff opted to give Araujo some proper rest ahead of the Champions League clashes.
Although the centre-back didn't train on Monday morning, he is still expected to make Barca's starting eleven against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Interestingly, Xavi said Ronald was simply rested for the previous game, emphasising that he has no discomfort.
Araujo has made 25 appearances for Barcelona this season, scoring one goal. He has a difficult campaign in which he committed too many individual errors.
