Barcelona rejected the chance to re-sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer, reports Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz.
The club thought they would not need another striker this season, especially since Vitor Roque would arrive in January.
The Gabonese offered himself to Barca twice after leaving the club in the summer of 2022: in January and last summer. It would've been possible to recruit him a few months ago, but Blaugrana said no.
Barca have so far used Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as strikers this season. The Pole is far from his best levels while the latter is much better as a sub than a starter. The club also loaned out Ansu Fati who sometimes played as a striker.
Aubameyang has already scored 12 goals and delivered 6 assists in 21 appearances for Marseille this season. He bagged 13 goals in 24 matches for Barcelona in 2022.
