Why Arnau Tenas decided to join PSG over staying at Barca explained - Luis Enrique played a part

PSG recently announced the signing of ex-Barcelona goalkeeper Arnau Tenas to bolster their goalkeeping department.

As per Mundo Deportivo, the Spaniard rejected Barca’s renewal offer because he did not want to be a third-choice keeper at the club.

Luis Enrique played a key role in convincing Tenas to join his project at the Ligue 1 side than stay at his childhood club.

Moreover, Barca also did not want to trigger a two-year extension on his previous contract because they felt his new wages would not fit their salary structure.

Ultimately, the 22-year-old was convinced that his future lay at PSG than in Spain.

Tenas could soon be reunited with his ex-teammate Ousmane Dembele, who appears to be bound to join the French side too.
