4 clubs we hope to never see linked with Messi again as Leo about to sign new Barca deal

PSG

I still can't believe Leo could've ever thought about joining them at some point.

The idea of reuniting with Neymar would be the only solid excuse. Of course, Leo would easily be the best player of Ligue 1 but is it worth signing for PSG after so many challenging years at Barca? Challenge for Ronaldo maybe but not for Leo who's much more committed to what he belongs to.

And yes, here's a magazine cover that's going viral on social media these days – don't worry, it's from February 😉

Manchester City

Seeing Leo hugging Pep Guardiola once again would be truly iconic – but not worth Messi joining the Citizens.

Right now, it's a really impressive club but its beauty very much depends on Pep Guardiola, his coaching staff and his players. Imagine all of this is gone – would it be great to see Messi wear their shirt? We say not really.

Inter Milan

Inter? Seriously?

For some reason, the current Serie A title holders have featured as a possible destination for Leo for a long time, even though they've been struggling financially, being forced to sell some of their star players like Achraf Hakimi.

Let's be honest: there's nothing appealing about seeing Messi wear the Nerazzurri shirt, especially now that Antonio Conte has left.

Inter Miami

We all know Messi's desire is to experience the Major League Soccer football one day – but most Cules would give their everything to see Leo hanging his boots up at Camp Nou.

Given David Beckham's MLS struggles (his club are said to be exceeding the existing salary cap), we hope that this rumour never materialises, although we wouldn't actually be against Leo pursuing his dreams (if playing in the US is his real dream, of course).
