Ex-Barca scout: I recommended them to sign Haaland a few years ago but they told me he didn't have Barca profile

"I was studying players [while being a scout for Barca] and I wrote down some names like [Erling] Haaland from Borussia Dortmund when he was still playing in Norway. But at the club, they told me that he didn't have the Barca profile," former Barcelona scout Ariedo Braida has told Radio MARCA.

"From Italy, I also suggested other names, like [Nicolo] Barella, who is now at Inter, or [Nicolo] Zaniolo, from Roma," he added.

After leaving Norway for Red Bull Salzburg, Erling Haaland scored 29 goals in 27 games. In 2019, the predatory striker joined Borussia Dortmund and netted 23 goals in 26 fixtures.

As for Nicolo Barella and Nicolo Zaniolo, both are considered to be among the most promising Serie A players.
