Estevao Willian, aka ‘Messinho’, has finally spoken up about rampant rumours linking him to a move to Chelsea.
Remarking on these links, he revealed: ‘Chelsea? My head today is 100% focused on Palmeiras. I don’t think of these things, they’re secondary. I think of helping Palmeiras and trying my hardest to bring them glory.”
The 17-year-old doesn’t want to give much away in terms of his future destination and focus on his development at Palmeiras. But Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with the winger and trying to strike an agreement with his club.
Bayern Munich are reportedly trying to hijack the deal, but Willian is really impressed with Chelsea’s project. The Blues are likely to have to offer €50m for his signing and Mesisnho can only officially join the club when he turns 18 in 2025.
Messinho is considered one of Brazilian football’s brightest young prospects, having already scored three goals in 15 matches for Palmeiras senior team.
