Chelsea finalize date to hold talks over Pochettino future as manager – Telegraph

According to the Telegraph, the Chelsea hierarchy will stick to their plan on taking part in an end-of-season review days after the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Only a few days after the Blues’ final league game against Bournemouth, the decision-makers at the club will be taking part in a meeting.

This end-of-season review should comprise Mauricio Pochettino himself. Along with him, the co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart should be there.

Of course, the Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali and Jose E Feliciano are going to chair this meeting after the Bournemouth game.

Here, the hierarchy will analyze Pochettino’s performance in his debut season and decide whether to stick with him for the 2024/25 season.

Chelsea doesn’t want to make the manager wait weeks or months in uncertainty and that’s why this meeting will happen right after the last game of the season.

For the time being, Pochettino is unlikely to be sacked anytime soon and should be given a chance to help Chelsea compete for major trophies next season.
