Thiago Silva announced his departure from Chelsea on Monday. The centre-back said that he wants to return to the club in the future in a non-playing role.
It's reported that he's already doing his coaching license and Moises Caicedo said that he wants to see the Brazilian as the Blues head coach in the future.
So why not think about what Chelsea could look like with Thiago Silva in charge? Imagine he plays for a year or two, manages somewhere in Brazil or Germany for three years and comes back to Chelsea in 2029.
The Blues already have a lot of youngsters on long contracts so the core of the team is already established.
Kendry Paez, who's setting his native Ecuador on fire aged 16, is set to join in 2025 and hopefully he'll be a starting XI player in a few years' time. Gaga Slonina is currently on loan but he could probably fight Petrovic for the starting berth soon. Omari Hutchinson looks like a world-class talent in the making judging by his performances for Norwich this season.
