'Decision made': Romano gives definitive update on Thiago Silva's future at Chelsea

"Thiago Silva will leave Chelsea as a free agent at the end of the season," Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

"The decision has been made, to be confirmed soon. He rejected proposals in January to stay and help Chelsea until the end.

"Thiago has Fluminense interest since a long time but keeping all options open."

The defender has spent four years at Chelsea, playing a key role in the 2021 Champions League victory.

The 39-year-old has made 149 appearances for the Blues across all competitions, scoring nine goals. He won the Chelsea Player of the Year award in the 2022/23 season.
