Is Cole Palmer 'world-class player'? Carney Chukwuemeka believes so

Speaking after Cole Palmer's hat-trick against Man United, Carney Chukwuemeka sang his Chelsea teammate's praises.

"Credit to Cole - a top player, world-class player - and credit to the lads for sticking in there, and Noni [Madueke] for making a monumental impact off the bench to win a penalty. But they were unreal scenes," Chukwuemeka said, as per the Evening Standard.

Palmer is the runaway favourite for Chelsea's Player of the Season award. Aged just 21, he's also a contender for the Premier League Young Player of the Season honour, having scored 16 goals and provided nine assists.

Even more impressively, this is the first season for Palmer as a regular starter not just for Chelsea but in the Premier League, as he was previously restricted to a bit-part role at Man City.
