Chelsea players 'targeted by private sports medicine experts' amid injury crisis

According to the Daily Mail, external medical professionals are looking to use the ongoing injury crisis at Chelsea to their advantage.

Several players have already been 'targeted by private sports medicine experts' offering their services.

At least two senior Chelsea players have already rejected the advances, putting their trust in the club's much-maligned medical department.

The Blues have been ravaged by injuries, with players like Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka suffering multiple setbacks. Wesley Fofana, meanwhile, is not likely to feature once this season due to an ACL injury.

Chelsea are looking to bolster their medical team. They are currently searching for a new head of performance medicine, as well as a physical performance coach in a bid to reduce the number of injuries.
