Romano says 'Chelsea will be there' for Osimhen — but club has to do one thing

"I think Chelsea will be there for Victor Osimhen, the interest is still there," Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside.

"There are some crucial financial points to sort out before they can say ‘OK’ and go for him."

The striker is expected to leave Napoli this summer. His release clause reportdly stands at £113m.

The 'financial points' Romano refers to are Chelsea's troubles with balancing the books after spending £1bn on players since the beginning of the Todd Boehly era. It has been claimed that the Blues will have to sell players for about £100m in the summer to make sure they are within the Financial Fair Play rules.

These FFP 'points' are not related to the ongoing investigation into the potential Abramovich-era breaches.
