Todd Boehly travels to Saudi Arabia for crunch sale talks, hoping to sell five players (reliability: 5 stars)

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly recently made a visit to Saudi Arabia to hold talks over possible player sales in the summer window, claims the Telegraph’s Matt Law.

He held talks with the country’s sports minister and the Saudi Pro League’s Director of Football Michael Emenalo over which players could be sold to Saudi clubs after this season is over.

Chelsea are eager to generate revenue from selling players in the summer, with some rivals clubs believing that they need to gain £100m from sales before the end of June to avoid FFP issues.

The Blues have also decided upon the players they want to offload in the summer. Romelu Lukaku’s sale is a priority after he returns from AS Roma.

Moreover, Chelsea also want to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga after his return from loan, as there is no future for him at Stamford Bridge anymore.

Boehly is also looking to find suitors for players like Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Marc Cucurella – while questions remain over Conor Gallagher’s long-term future.
