'I have to be smart': Lukaku laughs, puts finger to mouth when asked about his future

“I don’t want any controversy with them [Chelsea] in England! I have to be smart, you know what I mean,” Romelu Lukaku told Sky Sports when asked about his future, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“Did I learn the lesson? Let me go, guys… I have to stay.”

The striker laughed after the question and put his hands to mouth during the conversation.

The Belgian scored in Roma's 4-0 victory against Brighton in the Europa League on Thursday. Overall, he has 18 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season, and four assists.

Lukaku is currently on a season-long loan at Roma. Chelsea are said to have made an agreement with the striker to sell him for £37m in the summer.
