Five years ago, Kepa refused to come off the pitch in the EFL Cup final against Man City - no one understood this

On this day five years ago, then-Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga refused to come off the pitch when Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri decided to substitute him for Willy Caballero for the penalty shootout in the final of the EFL Cup against Manchester City.

Sarri was furious 🤬

Kepa didn't manage to help his team, though - Chelsea went on to lose the penalty shootout 3-4, and Man City won the trophy.
