Victor Osimhen struck home in the 75th minute to equalise in the 1-1 draw between Napoli and Barcelona in the Champions League. This was the Nigerian's only shot of the game as he made just 25 touches over 90 minutes.
The striker is reportedly Chelsea's priority target in the summer transfer window, with a release clause of about £111m. However, a Blues fan nicknamed Vdyk has not been impressed by what he saw from Victor against Barca.
"I know Osimhen scored today, but that by no means justifies his price tag," Vdyk tweeted.
"£100m for someone who doesn’t get involved in the game enough is criminal to me He’s £80m max, anything over that is overpaying — if we don’t get him for equal to that, we’re getting ripped off.
"And that’s not me saying Gyökeres is worth £100m, he’s not, I’m not stupid lmao. I wouldn’t be paying more than £70m for him and that’s me pushing it. These price tags are crazy man, we need to try and chip away at them.
"I don’t even hate Osimhen either, nor do I not rate him. I’m just saying that in THIS current Chelsea team under THIS current manager, he will most definitely fail.
"I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, if we get an elite manager, then pull the trigger. Otherwise, don’t."
