10 days left of January transfer window — here's what to expect from Chelsea in coming days

With less than 10 days remaining in this January's transfer window, there has been little action (unless you include loanee recalls) from Chelsea in the market by way of incomings.

The Blues are still lacking in some key areas on the pitch and their league position indicates the same.

Many fans are unconvinced by Nicolas Jackson's ability to lead the line but the other forwards haven't been much better.

Christopher Nkunku's return to action inspired some hope among the fans but it was short-lived as he has returned to the treatment table again.

Viktor Gyokeres, Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, and Serhou Guirassy are just some of the names linked to the Blues, none of whom will likely join in this window due to FFP constraints and huge asking prices.

Chelsea may move for a defender in this window, as per Fabrizio Romano, who reports, "I think Chelsea are looking for a new defender in general. It could be this window or in the summer.

"But Chelsea are looking into the centre-back market because they want to sign a player in that position, especially if Chalobah leaves."

Jean-Clair Todibo, Marc Guehi and Ousmane Diomande are some of the names linked to the Blues who could be inbound.

With regards to players leaving, Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah look most likely to leave.
