West Ham join Armando Broja race, one major obstacle revealed (reliability: 5 stars)

According to The Guardian, West Ham are looking at Armando Broja as a potential January signing.

David Moyes is keen on signing a centre-forward this month, but West Ham's funds are limited due to the Financial Fair Play rules.

This is why the Hammers' preference is to sign a striker on loan. They've already tried an approach for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran who was previously linked with Chelsea. However, Villa rejected a loan offer.

Broja, meanwhile, is effectively for sale this month. According to various sources, Chelsea demand between ₤35m and ₤50m for the 22-year-old with just one Premier League goal this season.
