Chelsea were reported by Portuguese outlet Record, to have sent in an offer to Sporting Lisbon to sign Viktor Gyokeres.
Record's reports were later conflicted by those from Nizaar Kinsella who tweeted: "Chelsea haven't made a bid for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres. There's no interest either, as it stands."
Looking at Gyokeres' numbers and profile, maybe there is a case for the Blues to build interest if they want a high-scoring striker.
The Swede has 11 goals from just 8xG this season and also has 8 assists for Sporting in 16 league games this season.
Last season he led Championship side Coventry to the promotion play-offs, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League on penalties.
