"The first half wasn't the first half that we planned", Mauricio Pochettino said at a press conference after Chelsea's 1-0 win over Fulham.
"Something happened before the game that I cannot explain. I think that it affected the team a little bit.
When pressed on what that incident was, Pochettino replied: "No, no. Nothing. Nothing, sorry. It's nothing big. Small details that sometimes affect the team.
"You need to know that something affected the performance in my opinion but it's not important for you or our fans to know, sorry."
So far, there are no credible reports about the nature of the incident Pochettino alludes to.
Chelsea still managed to score in the first half after Cole Palmer converted a penalty earned by Raheem Sterling in injury time.
