Chelsea have confirmed that Alex Matos, a versatile 19-year-old attacker, will spend the second half of this season at Huddersfield Town on loan.
The teenager joined Chelsea from Norwich just last summer. Since then, he has impressed the coaching staff enough that he was given a senior debut in the Premier League game with Fulham back in October. He has frequently featured on the bench in other games, too.
Now, he'll have a chance to play more regularly at Huddersfield who sit 21st in the Championship.
Huddersfield Town manager Darren Moore said: "Alex has a fantastic pedigree, exciting career to date and huge hunger and desire to succeed right at the very highest level of the game - as his Manager, it’s that mentality and application that I find most exciting about him."
