Galatasaray could cut Hakim Ziyech loan short — they had a chance to sign him for free (reliability: 3 stars)

According to Turkish outlet NTV Spor, Galatasaray could end Hakim Ziyech's loan spell just months before taking him on from Chelsea.

It is claimed that the Moroccan winger has been 'ineffective' and not able to 'perform as expected'.

Due to reoccurring niggles, Ziyech has made just nine appearances in the Turkish top flight, scoring twice. He had a better time in the Champions League, starring in his side's win over Manchester United.

Back in August, Chelsea let Ziyech join Galatasaray on a free loan and gave the Turkish club a chance to sign him for free next summer.

The Blues hoped to offload the 30-year-old for good, but it looks like he may be back at Stamford Bridge. His contract expires in 2025, so they might be stuck with each other for another 18 months.
