Liverpool fan: 'It made me sick when we were linked to Gallagher ... I have to eat my words'

Chelsea reportedly seriously contemplated selling Conor Gallagher in the summer. Liverpool were named among several interested clubs.

Jurgen Klopp is probably kicking himself now after watching the Englishman become one of the leaders at Chelsea. This Liverpool fan certainly regrets they didn't move for the midfielder.

"It made me physically sick when we were linked to Conor Gallagher in the summer, but might have to eat my words as he's been unreal this season," LFC Laurie, a Liverpool fan, tweeted in the aftermath of the City game.

"Chelsea have two £100m+ midfielders in their side and he's outperformed them both."

Hats off to Todd Boehly for keeping Conor in the summer. Now give him a new deal and keep him at the Bridge until 2035!
