Raheem Sterling celebrated scoring against Man City on Sunday. The Englishman put Chelsea 2-1 up in the first half. The game, which turned out to be an instant Premier League classic, ended in a 4-4 draw.
Man City fans did not really enjoy Raz celebrating scoring against them. The forward spent seven years at the Etihad, scoring 131 goals in 339 appearances. He played a key role in four league titles won during his spell there.
So Sterling has every right to be called a Man City legend — but this Citizens fan was too offended by seeing him celebrating against his former side.
"I hate this guy man, just look at him, he’s not a Man City legend in my book," Ruben, a City fan, tweeted, adding a picture of Sterling's celebrations.
But a Chelsea fan Jay put Ruben back in his place: "Mf you’ve got 5 legends in total, you better claim Sterling. Imagine having 7 legends in your history and you’re out here writing some of them off"
This conversation went viral on Twitter, with Jay's reply claiming over 50,000 likes.
