Olivier Giroud goes in goal for AC Milan, makes brave save to preserve three points

Olivier Giroud is 37 years old, but he's not slowing down, scoring four goals in Serie A this season already.

On Saturday, however, the former Chelsea striker had to protect AC Milan's goal rather than trying to score at the opposite end.

In the eighth minute of stoppage time of the game against Genoa, Mike Maignan was shown a red card and, with no subs left, Giroud had to go in goal as his team was only 1-0 up.

And minutes later, he had to get involved as Genoa went through on goal.

Giroud rushed from his goal towards the danger to block the shot.

He then threw himself over the stray ball and was celebrated by his teammates.

AC Milan managed to hold on to the narrow lead and take the three points. The winning goal was scored by another former Blue, Christian Pulisic.
