Malo Gusto’s red card in Chelsea’s loss to Aston Villa enraged a lot of fans who thought that it was a really soft decision.

Aston Villa striker and match-winner Ollie Watkins spoke on the sending off after the game, saying: “I thought it was definitely a yellow card but I’m not sure about the red card.

“That gives us the advantage, 10 men and we then created a few chances — maybe not as many as we should with them having 10 men — but it’s nice that we caught them on the counter and I got my first goal of the season.”

Gusto will now be forced to miss the next three games for Chelsea due to his red card, which will be a blow for Mauricio Pochettino as Reece James is also out with an injury.
