Nick Jackson worst in Europe in one stat — it's key for players like him

A stats website WhoScored says that Nicolas Jackson has lost the ball after an unsuccessful touch more times than anyone in Europe's top leagues so far this season. The striker has recorded 26 giveaways after poor first touch.

The baffling stat shows that the Nigerian finds it difficult to control the ball. For a striker playing on the line, it's absolutely crucial — ideally, he would receive the ball on the back of the last defender, control it, shoot or run in order to score.

But Jackson seems chronically unable to control the ball as this stat suggests.
