Pochettino's first five games at Chelsea compared to Tuchel & Potter — worrying stats

Mauricio Pochettino has managed just five points out of his five opening league games at the helm of Chelsea. The Argentine's record is one win, two draws and two defeats.

When Thomas Tuchel arrived at the Bridge, he oversaw an uptick in the Blues' form. His first five league games saw Chelsea get 13 points: four wins and a draw.

Graham Potter replaced the German in September last year. His first five league results are the following: 11 points, three wins, two draws, zero defeats.

For the sake of comparison, let's take a look at Frank Lampard's record when he was appointed caretaker manager towards the end of the last season. He lost four league games and won one, resulting in three points.

So Poch is doing slightly better than Lampard last season, and much worse than Potter and Tuchel when they began their work at the Bridge. Definitely something to worry about.

Note: we've used only league results, so games in domestic cups and the Champions League are not counted.
