Chelsea told Bayern to pay £50m for Chalobah — then accepted £25m Forest bid

Ever-reliable Nizaar Kinsella has shared an update on Chelsea's attempts to offload Trevoh Chalobah.

The reporter says that the 24-year-old wanted to join Bayern in the summer after they showed interest. However, Chelsea demanded a £50m fee from the German champions and other potential suitors.

Bayern wanted to sign the defender on an initial loan and withdrew from talks. In the late hours of the window, Chelsea accepted a £25m bid from Nottingham Forest — but the player himself refused to go there.

As for Trev's future, Kinsella confirms an earlier report claiming that the defender could be 'exiled' from the first team. Chelsea consider him 'surplus to requirements'. A move to Bayern in January is still possible.
