I understand your point perfectly.  Chelsea should be able to hold on to the great talents coming from the youth team. The complications are, how patient are these young players to wait for the opportunity to excel.
2. I  have said it on this platform several times, it is not always the fault of Chelsea's board or whomever calls the shots but also the greedy agents and advisors to these young players,  coupled with parental influence makes matters worse, even for the club to hold on to these players.
We as fans, may not always know what goes on behind the scene, the problems and the lengthy discussions involved. We are only quick to judge or question decisions made known to us publicly.
Chelsea is a big club and the stakes are high, some players, especially the young players may feel intimidated of the prospect of making it to the first team, and that may also be the concern of those around them, and cause them to think otherwise. 💙

I think fans too are some of the problems of Chelsea....
at times it looks like we don't know what we want...

It took Salah and KDB 4 to 5 seasons to get to where they are.

and now you guys want all the young talented players to stay in the club, the question is 
1) Can Chelsea fans wait for 4 to 5 seasons for them to be ready to deliver week in week out?

2) Can we give the coach the time and patience to build the team even when they are not performing.?

So it's usually better they are loaned out to a less pressured team to develop properly

Salah and KDB didn't go to Liverpool and City straight away from Chelsea, they both went to a less pressured club to develop properly before returning to top flight

Sometimes I wonder who actually makes the call on who is being sold and bought. For example I will never let Lewis Hall leave Chelsea if we are being honest that guy has a huge potential and if nurtured well we will be raving about him as we do Reece James today. He is ours but No, we want to sell him and in 2-3 years we will be crying over spilled milk. How is Cucurella better than Hall? Becos we spent millions to get him 
Same here again with Matseen. We all saw the potential in Pre season but because he is not yet a household name let's sell him off but I bet you we will regret in a few years. We did with Rice, We have Gilmour on that path now and we are about to send Lewis Hall and Maatsen on the same road.

Mauricio Pochettino is a good coach....but we are blessed with Four (4) good players in this department ( Chilwell, Cucurella, Lewis Hall and Ian MAATSEN) ...and since Hall has left for Newcastle on loan with option to buy ...
Manchester City doesn't have real Left Back as CHELSEA do ...so, it is a big opportunity for Pep Guardiola if Chelsea doesn't tie this young lad down to new contract...and I doubt if ...he will sign because he is 3rd in the pecking order...and his head will turn if concrete offer is coming from World best Guardiola....Chelsea Board do the needful ASAP...

yes pep wants him .. what à great coach is pep.. bicoz poch is not behaving like à good coach. on our preseason Ian Matseen was one off the best players at pre season.. even poch confirm it and he says a lot about Matseen.. he is one off our best player.. now he keeps him on rhe bench.. and chelsea board and the coach are gong ro let him go to man city again.. ppch knws the quality off the player but he prefer to keep him on the bench and give chance to chiliwel.. even wen chilwel is not playing well..we are gong to loose a great player again to man city.. just bicoz off stupidity
