Chelsea agreed ₤25m deal to sell Chalobah to Forest on deadline day, why it collapsed revealed - Romano

The transfer window may have slammed shut, but the stories from Fabrizio Romano keep coming.

The transfer news guru has tweeted an update on the situation around Trevoh Chalobah who ended up staying at Stamford Bridge - despite Chelsea's best efforts.

On the deadline day, after his move to Bayern fell through, the Blues agreed a ₤25m deal to sell the 24-year-old to Nottingham Forest.

However, Chalobah snubbed it, even though he appreciated the effort made by Forest to sign him.

The centre-back is yet to feature for Chelsea this season due to an injury. He's set to be available after the international break.
