Santos 8.5, Jackson 8: Rating Chelsea players in Fulham win

Santos: 8.5/10. Andrey almost single-handedly won the midfield battle for Chelsea in the first half. He's doing everything: winning the ball, recycling possession, playing the ball forward, particularly excelling in the defensive phase. Chelsea are in control when he plays.

Chilwell: 8.5. Provided an assist to Thiago Silva and was denied by a brilliant Leno save as he could've scored, too. Always looked to create something dangerous whenever he received the ball.

Hall: 8. An impressive display by the youngster, showed his dribbling and crossing skills today. Chelsea's best player in the second half.

Thiago Silva: 8. Scored the opener with a towering header and was rock-solid at the back, as he usually is.

Nkunku: 8. Showed his goalscoring instinct to double Chelsea's lead with a goal on the rebound. Linked up well with teammates, created an excellent chance for Enzo which the Argentine fluffed.

Gallagher: 8. A low-key great display by Conor, some really good tackles and passes from him today.

Colwill: 8. Brilliant defensive performance, very calm and tenacious.

Humphreys: 8. Playing beyond his years. Very comfortable and composed on the ball even under pressure and extremely secure defensively.

Jackson: 8. Relentless, showing a lot of hunger. Didn't get any good chances to score but his pressing, link-up play and desire were impressive.

Chukwuemeka: 7.5. A lot of raw energy from Carney, his interception and run made Chelsea's second goal.

Sterling: 7.5. Unlucky not to score in the first half, combined well with his teammates and was dangerous with his runs. Good effort in pressing. Still his tendency to disappear for large periods of a game is worrying.

Cucurella: 7. Excellent in passing and starting attacking moves but not particularly reliable defensively, allowing the opposition players to run past him.

Burstow: 4. The Academy side's best forward doesn't look particularly ready for first-team football judging by his performance today. Looks a bit raw, making wrong decisions that lead to Chelsea losing the ball way too often.

Casadei: 3. Looked very shaky, nearly caused a goal early in the second half after losing position outside the Blues' box. The pre-season has been going downhill for him after an excellent showing against Wrexham. Maybe he indeed needs that Leicester loan.

Others: Slonina 6.5, Gusto 6, Enzo 6.5, James 7, Chalobah N/A, Angelo 6.5, Maatsen 6.5, Gilchrist 7.5, Bergstrom 7.
