Mauricio Pochettino has urged his superiors at Chelsea to bring in new players as soon as possible - but so far, he's been very satisfied with how they work.
"It is clear that any coach would want to close the squad as soon as possible," Pochettino said.
“If it’s possible, yes bring the player here to the USA. If not, it’s not a problem. I’m happy with how we are working in this process to improve the squad.
“The sporting directors, the board are working so hard to bring the right people and right players and profile to the squad. I’m so happy in the way they are working.”
The Blues have already signed Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson while offloading over a dozen of players in a major squad clearout.
The work is not over, though, as Chelsea need to sell some of their outcasts, like Romelu Lukaku or Hakim Ziyech, and strengthen their midfield and possibly other departments.
