Brentford boss Frank surprised with level of 'respect' Chelsea paid them

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has arguably uttered the most damning description of his team's 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

As quoted by Nizaar Kinsella, he said after the game: "We were pleased they showed us so much respect. I was surprised."

That's a reference to the lineup Frank Lampard chose to start the game, with Raheem Sterling the only forward on the pitch.

This was rectified at half-time, with Mykhailo Mudryk and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang coming on. However, that did not help either, as Brentford scored a goal in each half and took three points home.
