Chelsea have included Vincent Kompany in the shortlist for who becomes their next manager, according to Evening Standard's Nizaar Kinsella - a fairly reliable source.
Kompany is a popular figure in the Premier League after growing into a legendary status at Manchester City. As a manager, Kompany is enjoying remarkable success in England.
This season, Kompany has helped Burnley win promotion back to the Premier League with the Championship title all but secured with four games to go.
Pep Guardiola tipped Kompany to become a Man City coach one day.
"Maybe he doesn't agree with me, but having seen his teams I'm more than convinced today he's going to come back... It's going to happen," Guardiola said.
As the final talks for the new Chelsea coach begin, Kompany is said to have become a prominent name on the four-man shortlist including former PSG and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, ex-Bayern gaffer Julian Nagelsmann and one more unnamed candidate. Nagelsmann remains the favourite to land the job, sources say.
