Kurt Zouma pleads guilty to animal welfare offences for abusing pet cat

As reported by The Guardian, Kurt Zouma has pleaded guilty to committing animal welfare offences after a video surfaced of him abusing his pet cat.

The former Chelsea player is seen dropping, kicking and slapping the cat while people can be heard laughing in the background.

Zouma has admitted to the offence along with his brother under the Animal Welfare Act.

The centre-back apologised for the video but his deplorable act has led to widespread anger from fans.

"Kurt Zouma is determined to chastise or carry out some sort of retribution for the damage caused," prosecutor Hazel Stevens told the Thames magistrates court.

It's unclear as to what punishment he will face, with court proceedings set to take the due course.
