'Is it worse than racism?': Michail Antonio questions reaction to Kurt Zouma cat incident

West Ham striker Michail Antonio was asked what he thought about the situation Kurt Zouma found himself in after a video emerged of him beating up his own cat.

“I’ve got a question for you,” Antonio responded, as per Sky Sports. “Do you think what he’s done is worse than racism?

"I’m not condoning a thing that he’s done, I don’t agree with what he’s done at all. But there’s people who’ve been caught for racism who’ve played football afterwards.

"They haven’t got punished, they got an eight-game punishment or something like that, but people are now calling for [Zouma] to be sacked, to lose their livelihood.

“I’ve just got to ask this question to everyone out there: is what he’s done worse than what the people have done that are convicted of racism?”

The ex-Chelsea defender has been dropped by Adidas after his actions and has had his two cats taken away by the RSPCA. He is also being investigated with Esser Police for animal cruelty.

West Ham have also fined him £250,000, but David Moyes chose against dropping him out of the side for the Premier League game with Watford which sparked a heated discussion on social media.
