'Everton backed Lampard more in 5 mins than Chelsea backed Tuchel in a year': fan unhappy with quiet window

Everton completed moves for Dele Alli (permanent transfer) and Donny van de Beek (loan) on the transfer deadline day.

Earlier in January, the Toffees signed defenders Vitaliy Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson. Anwar El Ghazi joined the Toffees on loan from Villa.

Their new head coach Frank Lampard now has an excellent squad to work with.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's only arrival this window is Kenedy. The Brazilian was recalled from his Flamengo loan to plug the gap left by Chilwell's injury.

There were talks about Borna Sosa, Lucas Digne, recalling Emerson in addition to a potential winter move for Ousmane Dembele. But the Blues ended up having an extremely quiet month.

Too quiet, some fans feel.

"The Everton board have backed Lampard more in 5 mins than Marina has backed Tuchel in over a year, despite delivering the biggest club trophy in the world. Unbelievable," Chelsea fan DidiiSempai tweeted.
