The Blues have been linked to the likes of Lucas Digne and Jules Kounde this January. Asked to share if Chelsea have made any progress on the transfer front, Thomas Tuchel told the media: "We adapt daily to the situation but it has not changed for us. No news or updates.
"The areas are clear where we are looking in the market. There is no need to put any pressure on in public.
"I don't know, actually [how the market will pan out the next two weeks]. I have the feeling that Aston Villa is busy and finding good opportunities, other teams are maybe happy with what we have.
"I am in general very happy with what we have. January is always a bit particular, let's see.
"When we have our squad, I am a happy coach. We have some long term injuries we are concerned about. To play for Chelsea, to find these players in January is not so easy."
The manager then added on recalling Emerson: "It is the same question and will be the same answer. There is no news and when there is, we will update you."
The Blues could add a couple of players still as Tuchel has admitted that he is on the lookout for a wing-back on both sides of the field.
