10 ins, 9 outs: Latest Chelsea transfer round-up

Potential arrivals

Full-back

Emerson Palmieri. Chelsea want to recall the Italo-Brazilian from Lyon, it is claimed. Emerson himself is open to the idea of returning to the Bridge. However, there is no termination clause in his loan agreement so the operation could prove to be difficult.

Lucas Digne. Judging by the latest reports, the Frenchman will join Aston Villa.

Sergino Dest. The American will stay at Barcelona, his agent recently claimed. However, Chelsea are still being linked with a January move for him.

Theo Hernandez. The AC Milan full-back is likely to stay at San Siro and sign a contract extension.

Other positions

Erling Haaland. Chelsea will 'get involved' in a race for Haaland in the summer, Sky Germany claim. However, the striker himself would prefer a move to Spain.

Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman could join on free transfer in the summer if he decides against extending his Barcelona contract.

Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni, Wesley Fofana and Jules Kounde are also linked with a summer move to the Bridge.

Potential departures

Sales, loans

Romelu Lukaku. El Nacional claim that PSG want Big Rom to replace Mbappe as the Blues consider selling him after that explosive interview. Very unlikely to happen but an interesting rumour nonetheless.

There are also reports linking the Belgian with a move to Tottenham because of his connection with Conte.

Maland Sarr. West Ham and Watford are the latest sides linked with a move for the 22-year-old. A January loan deal looks likely.

Ross Barkley. Chelsea are reportedly open to a transfer as there is talk about the midfielder joining Leeds.

Kepa Arrizabalaga. Sarri supposedly wants to reunite with the goalkeeper at Lazio but his wages prove to be a stumbling block.

Lewis Baker. The midfielder has rejected an approach from a Ligue 1 club as he wants to stay in England, Goal claim. Chelsea don't want to keep him.

Contract extensions

Andreas Christensen. Catalan source Sport continues to insist that the Dane is close to signing for Barcelona on free agency as his Chelsea contract talks have broken down.

Antonio Rudiger. Sky Sports say the 28-year-old wants to be the highest-paid defender in the Premier League, which complicates an already tricky situation for Chelsea.

Real Madrid are no longer interested in landing the German, as per credible Mario Cortegana. It's a positive development for the Blues but it's overshadowed by PSG reportedly submitting a contract offer to the centre-back.

Cesar Azpilicueta. Linked with a return to Spain, to either Atletico or Barca. But staying at Chelsea seems to be his preferred choice.

Saul Niguez. The Spaniard is not staying at Chelsea beyond this summer, the Athletic claim.
