Chelsea to have 2 equally good XIs if Lukaku and Kounde join: a look at potential internal friendly

Chelsea are pushing to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku and Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde before the start of the 2021/22 season, according to earlier reports from Fabrizio Romano.

As Reddit user @TheMiras has noticed, Thomas Tuchel will have at least two equally good players for each position next term if both Lukaku and Kounde join the Blues this summer.

Here's what a potential internal friendly between Tuchel's XIs would look like.

First-choice XI: Mendy, Rudiger, Silva, Kounde, James, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz, Lukaku.

Second-choice XI: Kepa, Christensen, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner.

As you might've noticed, Chelsea will also be able to raise funds for Lukaku and Kounde by selling the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri and still have enormous squad depth next season.
