€265.2m v €262.2m: Ultimate XI of players whose combined transfer value equals Mbappe's current value, feat. Hakim Ziyech

Since his debut for Monaco in 2015, Kylian Mbappe has grown as a player umpteen times and is now a world superstar. He is currently playing for Paris-Saint Germain, has won many titles there by scoring goals and leading the burden of such a big club.

Not only that, but Mbappe has also made history on the international level as well, by becoming the youngest player to score in a World Cup Final when he scored against Croatia in Moscow back in 2018. Moreover, he is the youngest player to reach 100 career goals in top-flight football.

Bearing in mind that he is still only 21, those are some serious achievements accomplished by a player who is set to become one of the greats of the game.

In the summer of 2017, PSG signed Mbappe from Monaco, on loan, but by paying a transfer fee of around €180m. In three years' time, his current transfer value has jumped up to around €265.2m.

Below, we take a look at an ultimate XI of players whose combined current transfer values are equal to the Frenchman's current value:

Samir Handanovic (GK) (Current value - €9m)

Samir Handanovic is one of the most experienced goalkeepers around the circuit. The former Slovenian international, who represented his country 81 times, has played over 500 club games across seven different clubs.

Currently, the 35-year-old is the first-choice keeper for Inter Milan. He arrived at San Siro from Udinese in 2012 and has been the number one in goal since.

Handanovic's current value is around €9m, which is decent for a goalkeeper at the twilight of his career and still under contract at Inter. He was one of the nominees for the Yachine Trophy 2019, a trophy to serenade the best performing goalkeeper over the course of a year.

Djibril Sidibe (RB) (Current value - €10.5m)

Sidibe has had a steady career so far, starting from being Lille to Monaco and now at Everton. The French international has represented his country 18 times and has played over 200 club games in his career.

Currently, the right-back is on a season-long loan at Everton from Monaco, with an option to stay at Goodison Park beyond this season.

Sidibe is valued at around €10.5m, which is a good price for a right-back who is getting better at in his game and has a way to go in becoming one of the better fullbacks in the game.

Joel Matip (CB) (Current value - €33m)

Joel Matip's career has been on the upward rise in the past 5 to 6 years. From playing for Schalke regularly to moving to Liverpool for free in 2016 is quite a jump for the former Cameroon international.

The 28-year-old has represented his country 27 times before retiring and has played an exact 282 club games so far. His time at Anfield has been a successful one.

In the second half of last season, Matip was Liverpool's first-choice centre-back partner alongside Virgil van Dijk when they on to lift the Champions League and amass 97 points in the league.

Currently, his value is around €33m, which is decent for a player who still has a lot of good years left ahead of him.

Dayot Upamecano (CB) (Current value - €25m)

Dayot Upamecano has grown as a player in the last 18 months and is now one of the top performers at RB Leipzig. Though the French U-21 international is yet to represent the senior national team, he has done well to earn that call-up sooner rather than later.

The 21-year-old has been linked with various across Europe, viz. Barcelona, Liverpool, United and so on. He is still very young for a centre-back and is destined to have an illustrious career.

A transfer value of around €25m has a bit to be desired considering the talent of the player. Leipzig could ask more if they decide to sell him though.

Jamal Lewis (LB) (Current value - €11.5m)

The rise of Jamal Lewis during his time at Norwich City has been one of the many success stories coming out of Carrow Road. The 22-year-old has shown tremendous ability and poise in his first season in the Premier League.

The Northern Ireland international has represented his nation 12 times and is a versatile left-sided player. Apart from the left-back position, he can play as a wing-back or as a wide midfielder on the left-hand side.

Lewis' current value of €11.5m should rise in a few years' time. He is a top player with a bright future in prospect.

Axel Witsel (CDM) (Current value - €22m)

The experienced Axel Witsel has seen it all in his career so far. The Belgian international has been playing top-flight club football for more than 13 years now and has been one of the consistent players around.

He is one of the few players in Belgium to have represented the national team more than 100 times. Currently playing for Borussia Dortmund, the 31-year-old has done well in leagues in Russia and China before.

Currently valued at €22m, Witsel still has a few years of top-flight football left in him. Dortmund have a very good defensive midfielder in their squad.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (RCM) (Current value - €29m)

Since arriving at Liverpool in the summer of 2017, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's game has gone up a notch. A squad player at Arsenal, the Englishman is now one of the regulars for Jurgen Klopp's men. Position-wise, he has done well while converting himself to a midfielder after playing as a winger/wing-back in his time at Arsenal.

The unlucky ACL injury in 2018 did keep the 26-year-old out for more than a year, but he has come back well since. He is now one of the key players in the team of the European champions and the Premier League leaders.

The current value of €29m is a tad less than what Liverpool paid to sign him from Arsenal. That could chiefly be down to the amount of football he has missed in the last 18 months due to that horrific injury.

John McGinn (LCM) (Current value - €17m)

John McGinn has been one of the ever-improving players who has done well to enhance the level of his game whenever asked for. Starting his career in the Scottish league and then playing for Aston Villa in the Championship, the Scotland international has done well to earn rave reviews of his performances in the Premier League this season.

The 25-year-old is now an established player in the English top-flight and could be a target for many top clubs if Villa don't manage to stay up. Furthermore, he has played for Scotland national team on 21 occasions.

His value of €17m could be on the rise in a few years' time.

Hakim Ziyech (RW) (Current value - €41.2m)

Hakim Ziyech has been one of the best wingers in Europe for the last couple of seasons now. Delivering consistent performances of the high order has made him one of most the talked players in the game.

The Moroccan international has played 21 games for the national team. He has played for the Netherlands in his youth years.

Position-wise, the left-footed winger prefers to play on the right, but can play on either side of the front line. He joined Ajax in 2016 and has played over 100 games for them. However, he is set to leave for Chelsea at the end of this season, after signing a five-year deal to arrive at Stamford Bridge before the start of the next season.

Though Chelsea signed Ziyech for about €37.5m, his current value of €41.2m is indicative of his growing stature in the market.

Josip Ilicic (ST) (Current value - €18m)

Josip Ilicic has been one of the in-form strikers in Italy in the last 18-24 months. His goals helped Atalanta to secure a place in the Champions League at the end of last season.

This season, the 32-year-old has continued that form and enhanced his game to become a top striker in every competition. He scored four goals in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie against Valencia in March to further announce his name to the world.

The Slovenian international has played 65 games for the country and is a veteran of domestic football, playing over 350 club games in his career.

The value of around €18m is fitting for a striker nearing the twilight of his career. He is under contract at Atalanta and could finish his top-flight career there.

Anthony Martial (LW) (Current value - €50m)

Anthony Martial is one of the top players at Manchester United, who has grown in stature after arriving in England from Monaco in 2015. The versatile forward did extremely well to settle in the Premier League soon after his arrival and is now a regular starter in the United team.

The 24-year-old, who can play on either side of the forward line, has represented the French national team on 18 occasions. He is a fantastic player with a terrific eye for goal.

The transfer value of €50m is fitting for a player who can bring goals and creativity to any team. Moreover, he is talented enough to raise that price in the coming years.
