Arsenal came excruciatingly close to winning the Premier League title this season but fell two points short of Man City in the end.
Martin Odegaard addressed the fans at the Emirates after the Gunners defeated Everton 2-1 in the final game of the season.
The captain said: “I think we’re all a little bit disappointed at the moment, we’ve been fighting so long for the big dream and we’re so close, but at the same time, I’m so proud of the boys, so proud of everyone at the club, the fans. I’m so proud of the progress we’re making.
“When I first came here, all the way until today, it’s such a big difference. We’ve changed the club, I think you all believe in us now. To be honest, I can’t wait to come back after the break and make you guys even more happy, that’s the big goal.
“We have to use the break to come back even stronger, even more hungry, and push to win everything”.
