Revealed: Arsenal's deadline to complete £100m move for Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal are eager to make a move for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes in the summer transfer window, as per the Daily Mail.

In fact, the Brazilian’s £100m release clause – which is placed in his contract – is going to remain in place until the end of June, 2024.

The final cut-off date for that release clause to be activated by Arsenal (or any other club) is June 30. However, this clause expires after that date – meaning that the Brazilian midfielder might become unavailable unless any team can sign him up by then.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe recently confirmed the existence of this clause and admitted that they are not in control of his future.

Interestingly, the £100m can actually be paid out over a period of five years rather than in one go – which makes the deal more attainable.

Arsenal face heavy competition from the likes of Man City and PSG, both of whom are really interest in signing the Newcastle star.

The 26-year-old has been one of the Magpies’ best players this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 32 Premier League games.
