Mikel Arteta has agreed with Pep Guardiola in lashing out at the scheduling issues after Arsenal were made to play the Wolves game only two days after the Bayern Munich game.
The Man City boss hit out at the FA for scheduling their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea only a few days after their elimination from the Champions League to Real Madrid.
Arteta seemingly agreed with this, saying after the Wolves win: “It's not about us, Pep or myself, it's about the well-being of the players.
“Especially when you are competing in European competition, everything has to be competed in the same way.
“You cannot have a team that hasn't played for seven days or three days before and has more recovery time and you have to play in the Premier League or the FA Cup.”
Despite only getting minimal rest after the Champions League elimination, Arsenal fought hard to get the win over Wolves and get back to the top of the Premier League table.
