Arsenal produced their most frustrating performance of 2024 and succumbed to a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Two late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins helped Unai Emery’s side get a big win, and it also dented the Gunners’ title aspirations.
Despite the annoying outing, Martin Odegaard led from the front by producing another wonderful performance at the Emirates Stadium.
The Norwegian midfielder created a number of chances, helped his side dominate possession and opened up space for teammates with his wonderful passes.
Along with Odegaard, another standout performer was Ben White – who was absolutely rock solid before his substitution.
White made four tackles and won 6/7 ground duels in an admirable defensive performance and it’s no surprise that Arsenal conceded twice after he went off.
Mikel Arteta will hope that his players can regain their groove and get back to winning ways against Bayern Munich on Wednesday (April 17).
