Tottenham embarrass themselves at Newcastle, concede as many goals in one game as Arsenal in 2024

The weekend started well for Arsenal fans even though their favourite team is only due to play on Sunday.

In the early kick-off slot on Saturday, Tottenham were battered by Newcastle 4-0.

Alexander Isak grabbed a brace, while Anthony Gordon and Fabian Schar added to Spurs' misery.

As a result, Tottenham conceded the same number of goals in one game as Arsenal did in all Premier League games in 2024. The Gunners' record reads four goals conceded in 11 league games after the turn of the year.

The North London rivals will face each other in a couple of weeks in what could be one of the toughest tests for Arsenal in the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
