Brentford were refusing to back down from their excessive demand of over £100 million for Ivan Toney in the past couple of transfer windows.
Arsenal have been interested in him for a while now, given his scoring abilities in the Premier League. They failed to sign him though simply because of Brentford's demand.
Now, according to Sky Sports, the Bees have 'drastically lowered' their asking price to around £30 million to £40 million.
Since Toney has refused to sign a new contract, Brentford are resigned to the thought of losing him.
To prevent Toney from leaving for free, Brentford are now willing to let him go for a cut-price fee this summer.
This should alert Arsenal at once as other Premier League sides, including Chelsea, are also interested in the striker.
After missing most of 2023/24 due to a betting ban, Toney has notched up four goals and an assist since his return to action.
