How Liverpool may help Arsenal sign 36-goal Viktor Gyokeres

Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim to take over as Jurgen Klopp's successor, multiple top outlets have confirmed.

He's achieved unparalleled success with Sporting since being appointed as manager in 2020. Amorim is on course to win his second Primeira Liga title this season and a lot of that is thanks to Viktor Gyokeres.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with Gyokeres as their hunt for a new striker is believed to continue this summer. Given the Swede's 36 goals and 12 assists across competitions, it's no surprise they want him.

And now, in a positive boost for the Gunners, Gyokeres' agent has put it out that his client won't stay at Sporting if Amorim leaves.

Quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old's agent Hasan Cetinkaya said: "It will be difficult for Viktor to stay at Sporting if Ruben Amorim decides to leave the club.

"We had 8 proposals for Gyokeres last summer and he decided to join Sporting for Amorim."

If Edu plays his cards right, Arsenal could end up bagging one of the most-sought strikers in Europe.

Here is a glimpse of the damage Gyokeres can do:
