Arsenal have conceded just 24 goals in the Premier League this season, which is the least by any side.
Even Manchester City and Liverpool have conceded 31 and 28 respectively.
The Gunners conceded 43 goals last season; this time around, they have been tighter at the back and also have seven games left.
Mikel Arteta doesn't believe that's the reason behind Arsenal dominating games towards the end of the campaign - which is something they failed to do last term.
Speaking to reporters after the 3-0 win over Brighton, Mikel Arteta stressed the importance of Arsenal's game management.
Arteta said via club media: "In the end, it’s about performances.
"You have to earn the right to win the games in this league and the teams, they ask you a lot of questions and there are a lot of things you have to control in a Premier League match to win away from home.
"The team seems to be controlling those moments much better and being comfortable in different stages of games, when the teams are demanding all this stuff. That’s the biggest step as a team."
